GRUMMAN TIGER
The Tiger is a four-seat, 180 horsepower single-engine general aviation airplane.

Grumman built 1,323 aircraft (AA-5B) between 1975 to 1979.

American General produced 176 aircraft (AG-5B) from 1990 to 1993.

Differences from the AA-5B include:

  • Changed to 24 volt electrical system
  • Added soundproofing
  • Changed from push-pull engine control knobs to lever-style quadrant
  • Carbon fiber cowl
  • Split nosebowl
  • Delivered with the unrestricted Sensenich propeller

Some aircraft in the AG-5B series suffer from corrosion due to bad upholstery adhesive. There is a Service Bulletin related to this issue.

Tigers were produced between 2001 and 2006 at Tiger Aircraft in West Virginia. They ceased operation in 2006 and filed for bankruptcy in 2007.

The company produced a total of 51 aircraft between 2001 and 2006.
